Affordable Art Fair

Ever heard of The Affordable Art Fair? Chances are high. Since the start in 1996 the AFF has grown from a marquee in Battersea Park as a one off, till a worldwide happening. Three times per year it takes place in London and one of these are here in North London on Hampstead Heath.

I went there yesterday evening. The marquee is massive! 113 galleries are displaying their favourite art priced in the range of £40-£4.000. For me who love art but don't find enough time these days to go to all the galleries I want, this was heaven! The were photographs, sculptures, oil, acrylic, watercolour, and all types of techniques. So many nice pieces!

I made a few Instagram snapshots of some of the ones I liked the most. At the bottom you see what I walked home with... A small print by Barbara Jackson from the Printmakers Association in Gabriel's Wharf, Southbank. Isn't it nice? :)

The AFF is on from today till Sunday (13th-16th June) so if you live locally and enjoy art I can really recommend a visit. Link here.
