We are delighted to introduce Trommpo from Montevideo, Uruguay to our Spring/Summer 2012 collection. I had the pleasure of opening the boxes the other day and had so much fun going through everything. I absolutely love their collection!!!
Trommpo is a children’s wear label with a strong emphasis on design as an added value. The brand creates unique, good quality garments and communicates values such as creativity, authenticity and learning.
Founded in 2010 by Catalina Bouza & Dean Xavier, it was born out of their love for design and creativity as a way of life.
Catalina is Uruguayan, with ten years experience in womenswear, graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Dean is British, with a background in the performing arts and production, graduated from the Laban Center.
This season's collection called Poporgami was inspired by the art of origami and the abstract paintings of Liubov Popova. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyubov_Popova
Have a look at the beautiful Origami dress with bloomers underneath, it's stunning and the ORU Trousers. The craftsmanship is divine. I know my little one will be sporting Trommpo big time.
Or have a look at their Uber Leggings. They are so incredibly soft, I can't even begin to tell you. They are a twist on your classic legging, with side pockets and a bit of a hareem style. Your little one will live in these, I know mine will.
