We are not very spoiled with snow here in London, but the
last years we have usually had at least one or two good days per winter. And so it
happened this year too! It started snowing Friday morning, which immediately
led to schools issuing messages about early closure. (I always wonder if they really do it
for the security or rather for the benefit of the children to enjoy the snow….
:-)) Anyway we did have a great
afternoon and the snowfall continued into the weekend.
Living in North London
we are lucky to have two fantastic parks close by. Hampstead Heath and Primrose
Hill. Both with wonderful steep sledge runs…. and both parks were full to the brim with children and
grown ups enjoying sledging on all kinds of means. From fully fledged
wooden sledges to bin lids and worn shoes. Anything that slides and glides is good these
days!
Let us share a few wintry images from these unusual London days….
